Phubbing

Phubbing is also known as "phone snubbing". It is the act of snubbing someone in a social setting by looking at your phone rather than paying attention. Some people find this very rude, others think it is the new normal. Rather than verbally or physically ignoring or being rude to someone, you put your phone first rather than the person you are talking to. You are snubbing someone in favour of your phone. Some people say that it's an automatic response to boredom. They go right away to check what is happening on their phone.

Blogs as an Educational Tool

I think blogs can definitely be used for educational purposes. It's a way for students and teachers to interact with each other and learn about each other when they are not able to speak or meet together. I think it is an educational tool because there is always something to learn about on a blog. I also think it is important to learn from a young age what kinds of opinions different people have and to gain a perspective on what other people think, which is exactly what a blog does; it gives people a space to express themselves. Although there is room for comments, I think it is a non-judgmental way to write how you feel or what you think.
